NARESH who is known to be a risk taker firmly always believes in taking bouquets and brick bats with a smile and started experimenting with new themes. He wanted to take telugu film to new heights. Films like ADHRUSHTAM (A FANTASY produced by JAYA SUDHA AND NITHIN KAPOOR) , PELLI NEEKU SHOBHANAM NAAKU a ghost comedy flick, HELLO DARLING LECHIPODHAAMA directed by MOULI, won accolades with the media and intellectuals but failed at the box office.
Undeterred by failures he continued his battle for what he called the BRIDGE FILMS (a crossover between art cinema and commercial cinema with technical excellence) but in vain. He even quoted ‘I prefer making films for a few intelligent audiences than to make them for a million fools’. There was pressure from buyers to make films with minimum guarantee meaning comedies with commercial values. Disappointment and frustration was fast creeping in the camp.
