ACTOR NARESH AS CHILD ARTIST

NARESH ‘THE HERO’

In the 70’s and early 80’s it was almost mandatory for film heroes to be above the age of 30 and to wear a wig. Legends like N.T.R, A.N.R, KRISHNA,SHOBAN BABU ETC ruled the roost. It was during this time a silent revolution was taking place. YOUNG DIRECTOR BHARATHI RAJA made a super hit teenage love story in tamil called ‘ALAIGAL OIYVADHILLAI’ with teenager KARTHIK in lead. NARESH’s joy knew no bounds when he was offered to do the telugu version by producer EDIDA NAGESWARAO . But disappointment struck him when director BHARATHI RAJA preferred to do the film with Karthik himself for his convenience.

Sensing the disappointment in naresh his parents swung into action. They called on the hindi legend SRI RAJERNDRA KUMAR and bought the rights of the hindi super hit ‘LOVE STORY’ directed & produced by Rajendra kumar himself with his son KUMAR GAURAV in the lead.

The preparations were on for the telugu remake. Naresh was rigorously trained in classical and western dance by guru HIRALAL. He mastered martial arts and motorbike stunts. The film was titled ‘prema sankellu’and the first song was shot in Goa. Mother Vijaya nirmala directed the film. Though the shooting was in progress, the family was left with the feeling that it would have been great if Naresh would have been introduced by an outside banner and director.
